The Ribchester Bloodsacks
« on: July 14, 2013, 01:57:51 PM »
Hi chaps,

I recently got my Armistice League box set and was so excited I started to clip, file and glue them straight away.

I've always had an idea to paint puppets as if they are made from human flesh instead of fabric. Kinda grim I know, but on the football field a little bag of blood would be more entertaining than a bag of straw.

Therefore I've started painting the Ribchester Bloodsacks with that goal in mind.

Here's the first two off the production line with flesh and armour in place. Once they are sealed I'll pop small amounts of the blood mix (again I know) I used on my Nuem in the seams.

Hope you like them, C&C welcome as always

ps. If this is in the wrong place, could someone move it for me

Perfect! Splatt-o-matic for your entertainment.

I was debating team colours and I've drawn a blank. Any ideas?

The mostly incomplete suggestion list:

Black and...

Orange
Blue
Pink
Purple
Green
Turquoise

... anything strong and vibrant really.

Lighter colours if you want to add dirt, blood stains etc to really show up. More Pastel for sun bleached and well washed sports dolls.

All the best and look forward to see what you go with in the end.

My team is growing! I'm trying to complete one mini's base paint every evening so I'm making good progress.

Sorry about the poor image quality, I had to take the shot in a hurry as my camera was running low on power.

Still debating the team colours and it may not be until they are based that I can make a decision.

C&C if ya like!
