How does the ball enter play?
« on: December 27, 2012, 12:33:59 AM »
I like this, oh yes.  A really nice system that promises to provide some fantastic gameplay and awesome minis, if the brit greens are anything to go by.  But, as per the title of this post, does the ball enter randomly to begin with or does someone start with it?  Also how long do you invisage a game taking?  12 turns doesn't sound very long, based on a couple of minutes a turn.

Ha, good questions and something I missed off!

The ball enters play at the start of the game randomly using the rules as if the ball has gone off the pitch.

A turn should take longer than a couple of minutes. I think you are thinking about a models activation.

A turn is comprises the playbooks phase, The action phase (in which players activate their models), the mop up the blood phase.

So, if the reactive player manages to activate all their models, a turn will be 16 activations plus the other phases.

12 turns may be a little high but we will see.
