The Island of Rýne

The Island of Rýne is a worldwide slow-grow “campaign system”.

Day for Lokki – 3rd moon waning – 112AD

Something extraordinary occurred upon the damned world of Relicia today. A great eruption in the depths of the western seas sent a huge tsunami crashing upon the coasts of Eard and Unglandan causing massive devastation to both the human and Orcnar settlements. In the wake of the tsunami, a huge island has emerged from the deep brimming with magical energy. I am not yet sure what may have caused this event though I have a few sneaking suspicions. It won’t be long before the peoples of Relicia discover this new unexploited land, I dread to think what the actual death toll might be once this is all over.

Day for the Sun – 3rd moon waxing – 112AD

The Unglandans have wasted no time in staking their claim on the new mystery island. King Jorje has already declared that the island of Ryne is now a free state of the Empire of Britana and has despatched several warships to secure the island and the precious Maaj shards that are waiting to be plundered. Ulluk of the Orcnar sought the counsel of the Ealdmoders today but has yet to decide upon a plan of action. I myself am still blinded by the abundance of Maaj in the region and still have no clue as to what sinister forces might be lurking in the shadows.

Day for Wodin – 4th moon emerging– 112AD

It is 4 days after the eruption, on the 1st day of the 4th moon. The Vaettir have finally entered the fray and have despatched an elite army to the island to investigate. In Encartria, the Nuem have been doing a few last minute repairs to an ancient Leviathan that is bound for the Ryne Island. it looks likely to begin its journey before the days sun has set.

Day for the Moon – 4th moon 1st quarter – 112AD

The conflict began today. The island of Ryne claimed its first blood when the Vaettir clashed with a Britanan scouting party, neither side came off unscathed and it is still too early to determine who will emerge victorious. Still, it is only a glimpse of the horror and bloodshed that is sure to follow in the coming months. The Nuem also landed upon the shores of the island today but have managed to avoid contact so far. The Orcnar too have finally secured a passage to the island through the use of ancient portals buried deep within the mountains of Eard. With four of the major races staking their claim upon the youngling island Ryne, I am certain that the treacherous road ahead will be bloody.

The campaign will consist of three tournaments spread across several months. Each tournament will have a ‘play’ window of around 3 to 4 weeks - allowing enough time for everyone to organise and hold their event locally.

This is a slow-grow campaign, so with each tournament, the army sizes will increases.

We start at 250 points at the first tournament, then increase that to 350 for the second tournament and then we go to 450 for the third. As all this is spread over several months, you will have plenty of time to get the latest releases ready to add to your army for the next tournament!

After each tournament, the results are submitted to us at Tor Towers. We will compile and analyse them then build the finer details of the next tournament.

Each tournament will come with a simple pack that will include print-out colour flat terrain for you to print and use in your tournament for specific scenario terrain requirements!

All of the three tournaments will be stand-alone tournaments, with their results going on to affect the next tournament globally. This means that signing up to one tournament doesn’t mean you have to take part in all three of the tournaments, although it is best to do so otherwise you will miss out on the full enjoyment!
