Captain Mychales scouting force had been pushing forward for a week, probing for enemy activity along the river Meane. It had all been quite until about two hours ago, when they were ambushed by what looked to be a small Orcnar force moving along the river. It is most likely that this Orcnar force was the advance elements of a larger force moving along the river to try and catch the Britanan force as they marched up through the territory. If the main force wasn’t warned in time, they could be taken unexpectedly and the 23rd expeditionary forces progress would be slowed.
